I'll begin by saying that this quest, as i like to call it, was inspired by a thread about a Manager attempting to bring a low league Spanish club to success in the Liga BBVA. I can't remember who but he had a strange affliction with Saviola, boardering on stalker-like if you ask me. But to ones own i guess.

Anyway... I decided that I would take my local Club Dagenham & Redbridge, or "The Daggers" as they're more commonly known to the top flight of English Football to mix it with the big boys. Or attempt to anyway.

I've only just started and played only 8 games to far so not to much to report but I will be posting signings, major results etc. soon hopefully accompanied by screenshots. But depending on me remembering and being bothered it proberly wont be instant as I'm a lazy *******. lol.

Lol yeah my wages are under, cause i got rid of loadsa reserves etc. Screenshots soon.

*UPDATE*

Okay sorry for the delay i've been rather busy lately so i havn't been able to update this thread but well I am now.

Transfers
Okay i'll begin with my dealings and failed dealings in the transfer market.
Firstly I was lucky enough to gain a parent team in the form of West Ham United, who have a wealth of young players who can be nurtured in the lower leagues of English football.
Soon after the announcement of the new found relationship with West Ham news come through of two season long loan signings. Fans eager to fidn out who were extremely pleased to be told they had signed Young goalkeepers Marek Stetch, and pacey forward Fred Sears.
These being the major transfers they were also accompanied by the free signings of Dexter Ravenhill, a young, energetic striker with a natural eye for goal, and 30 year old experienced and strong centre back Benjamin. With a budget of 10 thousand a portion (4 thousand) was spent on the signing of young and promising left back Calum Mclean and creative midfield dynamo Fran Cortes.

A total of 8 players left the clud all on free's partly to free up wages but mostly cause they were ****.

The ups and downs
The season got off to a good start with a comfortable 2-1 win over Bury. To be honest it could have been a lot more if not for wasted chances and a fantastic performance from the Bury keeper.
Second game came in the form of a 2-1 defeat to Swansea in the Carling Cup, dashing the chances of a cup run before they had even finished materializing.
It seemed this defeat had a positive effect on "The Dagger" as they went on a 9 game undefeated streak including two games of note being a 4-2 win over macclesfield in the league which was a real confidence boost, and a quite remarkable win 6-0 win over superior league opponents southend in the Johnstons Trophy. A brace from both Fred Sears and Paul Benson showed the class and killer finishing that they had promised at the start of the season.

Overview

Dagenham & Redbridge now sit a pretty 3rd in the league with a impressive record of 4 wins, 3 draws and 0 losses. Which is amazing in comparison to the media prediction of 22nd and a clud expectance of relegation.

What skin are you using, dude? And haha, looking good. Always heart-warming when you see that your team is pwning the media expectations.
