Tis but keep him if you think he will turn out good. Just keep loaning him out for couple of seasons.

Focus on turning him into a 'Sami Hyppia' clone with a mix of loans to Championship and tutoring under a good professional (eg Carragher) and he's a useful squad player for a Premiership team. Nothing amazing though and you have to be aware of his limitations (his pace...).
