darren bent - keep or get rid?

Just out of curiosity what formation is everyone playing? On the demo I was playing a 4-3-3 with Bent up top with Gabby on the left and Albrighton/N'Zogbia on the right and that seemed to work fine for me (although I did want to find another left winger) Bent was a crafty poacher

I'd sell him. You could probably get 19-22 mill for him if negotiated properly. Also you can sign Welbeck for about 8 mil (again if negotiated), as well as a bundle of youth players for the future.

If your going to sell look for a good replacement first, personally i wouldn't sell him. maybe give it till january/end of the season and see how things are going. good luck mate

You can't get much for him. I couldn't even get 10 mil. That said, I don't regret it: destroying the Prem so far for me. His off the ball movement rips defences apart and gives them no rest.

Bent has been different class for me.. i bought him for my Leicester side in the Prem, and hes done the bizz so far, 17 goals and its only January, quality! I play either 442.451.433 with Bent up top as a poacher and he bangs them home!

I second that. Cant even get 10m from him. Eventually sold him for 6m._.

I've just finished my first season with Villa and Bent started off well and then just stopped scoring, despite private talks and a positive reaction to these he just didn't seem to produce for me after Jan. I started playing him as a super sub role and he got a few for me here and there, but delfouneso was my main scorer.

I have Delfouneso and Agbonlahor up front using Raikans Might&Magic counter tactic, Fonz hit 28 in about 29 games and Aggy 17 in 34. Bent scored 4 all year in the poacher role and just didnt produce but I don't want to sell him

darren bent is a G. stick to him poacher he'll smash them in against most team, unlike gabby and delfonsu will find it hard to score against teams who play a really deep line.
