Today,Motherwell chairman John boyle has appointed ex Scotland striker Daza Sneddon as the clubs new manager.Only a few hours after Jim Gannon resigned Boyle appointed the 39 year old who has never managed a professional team in his life.Sneddon said in his first press conference today ''I am glad to be here.It's a dream come true.Motherwell are my boyhood hero's.My aim is to break into the top 2 in the SPL by 2013.''
 
Daza Sneddon's first game as Motherwell manager ended in a 4-1 victory against Valletta in the Europa League.'Well were 2-1 up from the first leg when the team was managed by Jim Gannon.Sneddon is said to be delighted with the result and that he hopes that the team can go further in the competiton.The Steelmen were drawing against Welsh club Llanelli in the second qualifying round.

After a 1-1 draw at Firpark Daza Sneddon was loking to score a few goals in Wales so he played a 3-4-3 formation to try and succeed but after a mountain of chances they never hit the back of the net and Llanelli went through on away goals.Sneddon said after the 0-0 draw ''Although we are out of Europe it is a blessing in discuise.It means we can fully focus on the domestic competitions.We wish Llanelli every luck in the competition ahead.''Sneddon also anounnced that Steve McGarry has left in a 120k deal to Notts County,Chris Humphery is away on loan to St Mirren where they also received 45k and Paul Slane is away on loan to Partick Thistle.

Sneddon's first game in the league against newly promoted St Johnstone ended in a 3-3 draw at McDiarmid Park.Ater the match Sneddon said ''For the game away to St Johnstone is a tough fixture and being able to score 3 goals with such a young and inexperienced team is great.I hope we can bring in 1 or 2 experienced players before the end of the transfer window.''
 
I like the Scottish Stories, always nice to see someone try and challenge Celtic and Rangers
 
Motherwell's first home game of the season ended in a 1-1 draw against Kilmarnock.John Sutton opened the scoring just before half time but on the 58th minute mark Shaun Hutchionson scored an OG to give Killie a point.Sneddon said ''We were unlucky.I always like to win the home games and anything away from home is a bonus.We will jsut try harder in the nexr game to try and win.''

Motherwell boss Daza Sneddon has unveiled 2 new signings just before the transfer window shut.80k brought St Mirren striker Dennis Wyness to Fir Park and David Connelly was signed on a free.Sneddon said ''I am delighted to bring Dennis and David to the club and this will provide competition for Sutton and Jutkiewicz.

After a hard fought,evenly contested match at Pittordrie Motherwell came away with a point.Aberdeen took the lead twice but on the 90 minute mark John sutton grabbed a late equaliser to get Daza Sneddons men 3 points from their first 3 games.
 
Good luck, should be interesting to see how long it takes to break into the top 2.

A 2-1 defeat at the hands of Rangers at Fir Park still pleased Daza Sneddon today.Sneddon said that he was happy that they only lost with 1 goal and he said that they are still going to make the top 4 this season.

Daza Sneddon feared embarresment before taking his team to league leaders Dundee United today.But after 96 minutes of play it was Dundee United who were emmbarresed after Motherwell claimed victory.United took the lead after scoring on the 34th minute.The kept their lead until the 84th minute before 'Well striker John Sutton equalised.It looked like it was going to finish all square but after 92 minutes Lukas Jutkiewicz scored the winner and what looked to be the last kick of the ball but the game continued and on the 95th minute Jutkiewicz scored again to make it 3-1 and handed Daza Sneddon his first win of the season in the league.

A midweek game saw Motherwell host Ross County in the CIS Cup.Sneddon only made 1 change to his side who beat Dundee United at the weekend.The injured Lukas Jutkiewicz went out and Jamie Murphy cam in.The match finished 4-3 to Motherwell and the Steelmen will meet Rangers in the next round

The Monday night game saw Motherwell paly Hibs at Fir Park.Daza Sneddon made a few changes to cover for the injured players.The biggest change is notably youngster Bob McHugh who came in for Lukas Jutkiewicz.After the match Daza Sneddon said he was unhappy at the result after his side crashed 2-0 to Hibs.
 
Another home game for Motherwell saw them host Eddie May's Falkirk .The Bairns took the lead fter only a minuted but John sutton pulled 1 back on the quarter of an hour mark.Sutton then scored another just before half time and completed his hat trick midway throught he second half.Well boss Daza Sneddon is said to be delighted with the result.

An exititing trip to Celtic Park turned to disaster as Well crashed 3-1 to Celtic on a crisp,autum afternoon.'Well boss Daza Sneddon was not avalible to comment after the game.
 
Motherwell's trip to Paisley ended in a 1-1 draw.Before the match Daza Sneddon said that he hoped fr a win but would accept a draw.He was happy with the level of performance giving by his team today and he said ''We just played great today.I am happy with a draw but I'm also kicking myself that we weren't able to win.It will come for us eventually.''
