I'm still a bit confused by the new tactic creator. When you set the individual roles for the CB's I put 'defend' but when you go to advanced player instructions it presets them to attacking and having lots of creative freedom. This is probably because this is what my team instructions are but should it not automatically put the sliders to defending and having little creative freedom? It just means you have to manually move the slider to what you think it should be.

I've not fiddled yet much, but noticing this I've still to have a closer look to the other positions and to see what changes changing the overall team mentality. How are the sliders of other non defending players? Are they significantly higher? Are your guys set to attacking, overload or standard?

My advise is to leave team instructions standard, and then change the players individually to suite your criteria, and style of play.

Well I'm Livepool at the moment and I'm playing a 4-2-3-1 Asymetric formation and I have the team instructions set to control and fluid. But when I go into the individual player instructions all the players are shown as attacking and having much creative freedom even though my defenders are set to 'defender' and 'defend.' I just thought it would automatically change their settings when you picked their individual roles instead of having to change the sliders manually. The good thing about the old tactics was that you could preset them to defenders and it would automatically adjust the sliders.

the individual roles related with your team style of play. your team instruction was 'control' & 'fluid' that makes your player have more attacking mentality and creative freedom. eventough you set their individual role 'defender' and 'defend'. |)

So should I leave the defender to have more attacking mentality and creative freedom or manually change the slider to be more defensive and have little creative freedom? I checked the goalkeepers individual instructions as well and he's automatically got an attacking mentality and creative freedom.
