Defending Corners

Im fed up of conceding from corners so much.

Has anyone worked out a system to cut down on this?

tall players with good positioning and heading ability ...and make sure to cover all the posible positions in your box(far post near post etc).

Yep do all this, and I also concede every game from corners.

Im Burton Albion, don't really have tall players. Or playes with good positioning, Or heading ability.....

fullbacks to posts; central defenders - mark tall players. rest of the players - penalty area (or what-ever it's called) + one striker (preferably fast, high composure, good dribbling and technique) up front AND tick 'counter attacks' in your tactics. I manage to score 5-10 goals from these kind of counter-attacks each season. I know it's not much, but sometimes that could win you a game!

I think a common misperception is pulling more men back for corners will help defending better. Which is not the case in my opinion, as more of your players defending mean more opponents in your penalty area, and more chances for them.

Now I like leaving 3-4 players forward causing at least 4-5 opponents to stay back, and feel much more comfortable dealing with corners this way.

i tend to put my wingers marking the posts
as my fullbacks are going to be better at marking and heading etc
seems to work abit better

I also put my wingers marking the posts (full backs are better defenders). Leave the fast striker upfront, the attacking MC set to mark edge of area, CBs mark tall player, all others go back. Isn't 100% bullet prof, but it's decent.

This has been an absolute problem for me with the new patch, it's so unrealistic! I believe my defence is one of the best in the league, yet i've condceded a **** load, and i'd say 90% have come from corners.

I mean I can hack conceding every other or two games, but not once or twice a game, it's a joke! It is costing me a play-off place, if not pushing for straight promotion! It's making me want to rip my hair out, I've tried loads of things, but nothing seems to work. Surely it's a bug?

I have my best CB marking far post.

The only goals I used to give up were super jesus far post headers of doom.

So I stuck my CB on the far post. His concentration, strength, jumping, and heading ability has completely nullified any far post attacks. I haven't conceded a far post corner in 3+ seasons now.

i have everyone back apart from 1 who sits at the edge of the box for counter attacks ,2 fbs on th post and 1 player playin zonal in the centre the rest man mark . seems to work for me
