Defending help!

im currently entering my 3rd season with man city and im doing relatively well 2nd in 1st season 3rd in 2nd season with a uefa cup under my belt and it should have been more titles because i have a really good team in terms of attacking but defensively its not to good i have improved it abit this summer so this is who i have so far ...

LB = leighton baines
CB = cristian zapata
CB = phil jagielka
RB = vedran corluka

so im really looking for a new left back now ive tried lahm and he wont come because i cant offer enough money so im attempting him next season but has anyone got any suggestions for me any of them are welcome

Joe Mattock is a very good young left-back. I'm in 2015, and he's a regular England international, and Manchester United recently purchased him for nearly £20million.

Juan Manuel Vargas, although listed as a left-wing-back, is superb in the role, whilst his statistics are excellent.

Your centre back pairing seems quite good, although I would look to replace Phil Jagielka in time. Federico Fazio, Per Mertesacker, and Leo (of Gremio) are 3 options. I'm also curious as to what has happened to Micah Richards, because he has the potential to be one of the best centre-backs on the game, and personally, I would look to build my defence around him if I were you.

At right-back, Srna is excellent, but may be a tad old considering you are in your 3rd season. Perhaps De Silvestri (sp) who plays for Lazio.

hey lads i really need help! i have a great attacking tactic and dont want to change now im man u in my second season and coming 17th! is there any way to improve my defending especially set pieces! thanks
