Defensive direct formation?

Hi all,

I have just taken over Watford and the board want me to play defensive and direct football. Does anyone know a good formation to use under these circumstances.

A 4-4-2 focusing on Wing play should satisfy that criteria.

Something along these lines.

Team instructions:
Clear ball to flanks
Direct Passing
Exploit Wing Play


Make sure you've a striker with good Off-the-Ball and anticipation.
