Defensive Minded Centre Mid

Seems to be tonnes of options of top class attacking/playmaking central midfielders, but less defensive options out there. Currently have Strootman as my number one for this role, with a few younger players and Can/Henderson filling in when required. Any recommendations of backups/upgrades? Typically use as DLP or BWM.
