Don't have access to FM untill later today, you guys think that would work?

Also, what about a midfield with no ''playmakers'' just central midfielders. (roles)

"cut inside" defensive wingers without fullbacks/wingbacks in formation, but with 3 in the back (3 DCs or 2 DCs + SWC)?

Actually thinking of a 4141.

Flat 4
DM
Flat 4
STRIKER

with a flat 4 as cover I think you can give it a try.
I'm using a back 3 with defensive wingers in ML/MR position, inside forwards in AML/AMR position and narrow width. sometimes they naturally cut inside despite "normal" wideplay and the inside forwards in front of them.
interesting idea though. I will try it, too.

I played 6 season with Napoli using Defensive Wingers on ''normal'', so i know what you mean, but i would like them to look to cut ratehr than cross

Do you mean cut inside to receive the ball or receive the ball wide and cut inside while dribbling?

I use 4-1-2-2-1 flat back four-dmc-cm+cm-Aml+Amr-Stc.

very very deep d line-very high tempo-normal width-fairly low time wasting.

My IF's are set up like this -mentality normal(11) - creativity high (17) closing down high (20)
crossing-rarely-through balls mixed-run from deep mixed-run with ball often
cross aim target man (although I no longer select the target man) cross from byline.
Marking zonal- tight yes.

team defends deep, d-line backs off when possession is lost , the dmc and 2 cm's attempt to win the ball leaving the 2 IFs and STC up top, when the ball is won back in this type of scenario the ball is sent out wide to the IFs, the striker will move over to one side of the pitch creating a huge space , for the IF to run into usually a diagonal run with the ball towards the box before attempting a shot.
Build up play is quick and passing ranges from short to long.
seems to win an unusual amount of pens.

Doesn't win me every game or anything stupid like that but my IFs score regularly and this was what I wanted.

The IF track back nicely, if they win the ball it's usually from the full back they are tracking, when most of my team are deep then try through balls to the STC.

The STC is not as proflic as is like but I think this is because the ifs dribble into the box and shoot A LOT! sometimes too much but I don't care if one of my Ifs has 12 wild shots and finishes the match with 3 goals and a rating of 9.5.

Somethings that didn't work so well.... at times I defended too deep, too many players got drawn into the box and it looked messy and the goals conceded were scrappy pin ball goals that got bounced left right and centre before being hammered in from around the edge of the box.
sometimes the very quick build up can result in rushed shots where it looked better to pass.
conceded an unusual amount of corner goals.
often created more CCC's than goals scored even the same player who scored 3 goals that were not CCC's can then seem like he's never seen a ball before when all he has to do is tap past the keeper.
IFs were greedy not many assists, they came from cm in perticular cmr (Dembele mainly) 14 assists.

Tried the tactic out with Spurs (LFC MARSHALL UPDATE)

Lamela - 41 - 19 - (league 16 - cup no games played - Europe 3)

Chadli- 26 - 13 (league 9 - cup 0 - Europe 4)

Used Lennon as back up he got 9 goals which I though was good for Lennon as he can't shoot, his composure, decisions and finishing are quite poor compared to the likes of the Bale and hazard etc.

Cheers

Steve
