defoe wont score

is there any tactics out there that i can use to get defoe to score i am man utd i bought him for 15 mill which i thought was a snip i also bought guiseppi rossi for 11 mill too i play rooney as a supporting complete forward and he scores loads but who i put as his strike partner they dont score i have tried them as a poachers any other ideas would be good

If you have a complete forward who supports, then you need a poacher next to him. Play defoe as a poacher attack. Or change rooney to an advanced forward/Deep lying forward support and play defoe as a poacher attack. Defoe should only be used for finishing the attack as he isnt really as good as rooney in making chances.

15million pounds would be too much for defoe, but 15mill USD is ok i guess.
