Right Im Newcastle United in season two all seems to be going well but Demba Ba cant score for love nor money.
422 min since last goals, fair enough the guy had been injured for several weeks (still 370 min when fully fit) so dont expect him to be firing all guns but he done this last season where he went 18 hours without a goal.

Im playing him as a target man - support with a poacher atm. I have an inside forward on the left wing and attacking playmaker on right and DLP and anchors in CM.

Please help

Go to Reports and see what's the position he plays the best. If he's not good enough as Striker, why don't you play him as Left Winger instead of Gutierrez and then play a Poacher forward, like Paloschi?

Yeah its a real pity Demba Ba is totally underated on FM12 he's nowhere near as injury prone in real life and is a world class /"a good" striker . Sadly FM12 has rated him as injury prone and some of his stats are wrong (composure = 8 and natural fitness = 5 what a joke lol) . He's playing like an absolute legend for us in real life !!!
Hopefully SI will address this in their first patch
TBH you would be better off keeping him as reserve striker and signing someone like Diego Mauricio , Luuk De Jong or Leandro

Yeah I agree the attributes are wrong. I managed to get Adebayor and Sturridge in the January so they have helped minimise this issue.

Ok, he IS NOT world class. Most over used term ever in football. His composure might be **** but he is still decent on fm, got great pace and strength which are useful attributes. Personally, I'd place him on his own up front as a poacher with hold up the ball also ticked. Only played with Newcastle on the demo but certainly reckon that would work.

I think you'll find he's one of the best strikers in the premiership at the moment .The only player to score more goals in the Premiership is Van Persie ! Demba Ba has been a pure quality at Newcastle this season ,
ask any West Ham fan what they think about him ??
They'll give you the same answer
Okay so he's very good then lmao

Good yes, world class, no ******* way.
Anyway, teach him to round keeper and shot with power due his low composure ( dunno why he has low composure, he's decent finisher)

World Class? Please. He's no where near World Class. I wouldn't compare him to Mario Gomez, Gonzalo Higuain, etc. Those are world class.

Mario Gomez being called world class is debatable too to be fair. Higuain I'll go with though.

Anyway, Ba is in a cracking period of form, if he keeps it up for a few seasons bagging in 20 league goals minimum each one then he deserves the world class tag.

Before this season he had 59 goals in 159 games. Not exactly a world class record is it? Just wondering if you think Santa Cruz, Benjani and Elmander are all world class too? They have all had similar bursts of form in the past to what Demba Ba is going through. On a random note, I bet no one can tell me where he started his pro career without going on fm or looking it up on the net.

I'll further that he is not world class...He's having a great run of form, and playing well, but world class.....not a chance!

Hoffenheim? Just a wild guess, since I really don't care about him :L

Being the 2nd top scorer in the Premier League doesn't make you one of the best strikers on the world - Premier League, perhaps, but not the world. Loads of great strikers through the years don't banged 20 goals a season - look at Rooney, he's only achieved that once or twice. But I'm not here to argue...

I would say Poacher, but I haven't got FM 12 yet so I'm not too sure how he'd work out. Perhaps playing him poacher with a suitable Target Man. Cardozo was beast for me on FM 2010, got something like 33 goals in one season for Benfica playing as a Target Man (Attack), and bagged a fair few assists. Obviously, he is a bit older (and slower, a bit of a negative but as a Target Man he doesn't need to have loads of pace), but his technical stats were great and I can't imagine them decreasing so much over 2 years. Maybe he's available for peanuts, too? Take a look, he might be worth a buy if you aren't into your other strikers filling the role.

This guy probably thinks Krul and Taylor are world class too. We could put Trevor sinclair in a toon kit and he'll be "world class" too.

Ba is good, but FAR from world class. Let's name strikers that are better than Ba. I'll start.

ROBERT EARNSHAW - HA!

Okay I'll admit he's not world class but is on a very rich run of form
and no I don't think Krul and Taylor are world class lol....
Tim Krul is a good young keeper and
Steven Taylor plays his heart out for the club he loves

Have him as a DLF with Sigthorsson as poacher
Demba ba: 16 matches: 8 goals, 10 assists
Sigthorsson: 17 matches: 14 goals, 6 assists
