I had a save with a small team in Wales (Wales - The Sleeping Giant) unfortunately I started it with the Beta version and a lot of the history did not save. I kept going with it but I think it's time to try something different. I have chosen to manage a team in the Denmark Second Division and see how far I can take them. My objectives at this stage will be to :

Gain Promotion to the Danish First Division
Gain Promotion to the Danish Superliga
Win the Superliga
Become a regular Champions League competitor (possibly even win)

I didn't even know that Denmark had 3 leagues! So I should pick up quite a bit of new knowledge during this save!

A positive pre-season with 3 wins, 2 loses and a draw. The final game against Thure (a non-league team) was a disaster, we had more possession and double the shots but still managed to concede 5!

I went a bit crazy with transfers trying to get us some depth, I took advantage of the fact we are an amateur club and therefore don't pay wages. I figure that if players are not able to make it in my squad I can just release them without having to pay any fees.

2 of the better players I managed to pick-up.

Not the best start to our league campaign, 3 losses and a draw. At least we managed to get through to the 2nd round of the cup (although we did struggle.)

I feel like we are close to turning things around, we compete with teams but our defence and the lack of converting chances continue to let us down.

At least we can't do much worse!

Tough start mate. Lets hope the new chairman is patient.

Amatuer clubs are both great & horrid to manage. On the plus side you can sign as many players as you want knowing you dont have to pay them wages but unfortunately it is more then likely anyone that performs well will be poached by bigger teams & there is next to nothing you can do about it :S

Anyway, interested to see how you get on with this, good luck!

Thanks Lippo, definitely been a difficult start! Fortunately I haven't had anyone poached however that is probably due to our poor performance! Hopefully the Chairman gives me plenty of time to get things sorted!
