Hi All!

First time poster, long time lurker.

I'm looking for a good foreign club to manage with the below criteria:

Must be in top two divisions.
Not in UK or Ireland.
Stadium capacity no smaller than 10000, no bigger than 25000.
Have a couple of "decent" players (promising useful young players or ageing former internationals DO count)
Not have a huge existing squad.
Not currently in a continental competition.
Not be broke/in administration.
Not be rich.

I'm looking for a mediocre club with potential, to manage for a few seasons, garner some success then move on to maybe bigger and better things.

Anyone found such a club?

Ta,
SH

Deportivo used to be good, though they don't quite fit all of your criteria... League winners in 99.

Dinamo Kiev, not won the league since 08-09 and have Yarmolenko

I was thinking a smaller team with potential to take on to the next level, perhaps in a less fashionable league.

I would easily suggest AC Milan (but they have a huge and beautiful stadium).

you're being waay to fussy with your criteria in my opinion

You have:

Germany: Borussia M'gladbach, Köln, Eintracht
France: Bordeaux, Reims, Marseille
Belgium: Mechelen
Italy: Bologna, Lazio, Torino, Genova
Slovakia: Slovan Bratislava
Austria: Tirol

Now, choose you league.

Try playing a Brazilian club such as Santos. 17,000 stadium capacity.
High potential young players.
Be prepared to have all your top talent poached by big teams though. LOL.

I dont know about stadium size or potential ability in youngsters, but Red Star Belgrade comes to my mind.

Vejle from the danish first division! Used to be "giants" in danish football. They developed Allan Simonsen (Ballon d'Or winner).

Sc Heerenveen. Fc Twente Feyenoord.
just a few dutch league teams who could do the job for you.

Heerenveen in the Eredivisie are a decent shout, they have got a young squad and with a few additions you might be able to challenge PSV Ajax and Feyenoord. Good youth facilities too means you can bring through your home grown stars
