Diego Costa isn't the flawless goalscorer?

I play him as striker he is not doing badly 8 goals 15 games but he is missing so much 1 vs 1 against goalkeeper..

I use dimartino's modified version of the blitzkrieg, the tactic in the share and download part of the forum.

I am managing liverpool and made one tweak.

I tweaked the left F9 to an AF(A).

So my front two looks like this:

Suarez AF (A) - Costa F9 (S)

Suarez has 35 goals in 41 games and Costa 29 goals in 31(2) appearances.


It might be an idea to try this tactic if you're playing a 4-4-2, its sent my Liverpool team on a record unbeaten run, and I should touch just over 100 goals in the premier league. Suarez and Costa compliment each other so well.

I had the same problem when I signed him with City. Paid around ?20m for him and he didn't score a league goal in the first half of the season. Played him in an all manner of roles and with different strike partners/midfield playmakers. His attributes are good and on my other saves he always does well at Atletico but I just cant seem to get the best out of him.

I use him as an AF with a AP-S behind him, a W-A on the right and a IF-S on the left, so he gets plenty of service and he scores a goal a game for me as Arsenal in the 2014-2018 seasons.

Oh I was so close to singing him just now for my Liverpool team for 32 million, doubt I will after seeing this. He looked good, 25 goals in 32 league games last season for Ath Madrid

He was really good for Atletico in my save. Needless to say, as soon as I met his release clause, Dortmund, Real, Barca, Chelsea, City and Juve all suddenly became interested

I took that into consideration and took a gamble anyway, he's played 3 games and no higher than a 6.6 rating in 3 league matches. In the community shield however he assisted 2 goals and won a penalty. I have him playing as a supporting complete forward

Hes doing pretty good for me after 3 games in. 3 goals and 2 assists in a CF support role with a average match rating 7.47. I would advise people to teach him the PPM "Shoots with power" due to his composure and technique, which i have found helps.

I never historically get the best out of my strikers (goals typically come from the wings for me) but I signed Costa for Chelsea, played him up front and easily managed a 0.7 goal per game. 26 in the league and 31 in all competitions.

Poacher with 3 behind him, two inside forwards and an adv playmaker all on support. Gives him the space and supply. But most of his goals came from Azpilicueta so maybe I'd recommend having your wingbacks drill crosses in?
