Has anyone had success with this guy?!!!????

Had him on the default update, LFC Marshall update and now on 14.3 and he is absolutely *****!!!!!

Can't score, can't pass, can't get a rating over 6.5.

Played him as a Poacher, DLF, TM, AF, CF and F9 but no success.
 
i like him on the right wing(IF) or even better retrained on the left wing same role

Well the same tactic got Torres and Willian to score 20+ goals in the first season and went onto win the league and FA cup so I'm pretty sure it's not the tactic. I even have a 21 year old Jese and 20 year old Carlos Fierro who play better than him. Shame because his attributes are class.
 
i had him on an arsenal save as a complete forward scored 25+ in the league three years running
 
If you've just signed him as (I assume) Chelsea, he may take 6 months to a year to settle in England...

Yeah, i've been quite harsh but Jese and Fierro have settled but he hasn't. NEED TO BE PATIENT! :)
 
What year are you in? You could always get Drogba back as a bit of cover while he settles?
 
Second season, I don't really need cover as Jese can do a job and Fierro as back-up, plus he's retiring
 
I've got Diego Costa for my chelsea side and tbh the first few months of the season I was considering getting rid at end of the season, he was scoring but not enough but all of a sudden he started banging goals for fun, give him the chance and he should come good I play him as a poacher.
 
I used him on the right wing with Giroud as a PL and they both had like 30 goals lol
 
Funny to read this. Costa has been immense for be on my Chelsea save just from the moment I signed him. Such a beast.

It has to be the tactics or the fact that he hasn't settled in.
 
Dunno about Costa. But Lukaku has been a monster for me! Picked him up in the Winter window, Season 4, and he scored 14 goals in the second half of the season alone! :-)
 
Scored 21 in 23(1) so far. I don't use any custom update. He also assists quite a few, loves scoring in Europe more than in league. :P

Edit: Looks like I got stats wrong, but I also played one more game after posting this and he scored 2, assisted one.

I think it also matters what system you use him in, strikers seem to struggle if you like to play possession football and control the game, except Target Men.

Eto'o got injured for 4 months and I had release Torres and sold Ba, Costa was my only option as striker week in week out and this guy showed no signs of stopping. Amazing goal return.
