I've never played as Fiorentina in the FM series. I really like them in real life - been keeping tabs on them for ages, but i have always played the English and German leagues mostly.
This time around I decided to give them a go, but I'm finding the first season is quite hard.
They have a fairly decent playing squad, a few top class players, good youth players but a high amount of mediocre rotation players. I am happy enough with this though. The real problem I have found is that they have so few home grown players that can fill out the squad in the Europa League.
I can only register 22 players at the start of the season because of the restrictions. Also, they have a wage budget of 750,000 Pounds from memory...of which 200,000k is taken up by Gomez and Rossi...
It is January 1st 2014 and I'm travelling ok, 5th in the league, qualified second in my group in Europa so i'm through to the Knock-Outs and I'm just about to kick off in the Italian Cup.
Has anyone else played as Fiorentina? I'm going to see if I can get through this season with a decent finish and still enjoy it, then start a Story thread maybe, but I was wondering if anyone else has had a go and had success with them.
