Shochking news as Middlesbrough's manager Tony Mowbray leaves the fold at The Riverside Stadium!

Few managers have been interested in the job, they have recieved numerous applications for the position including new boy on the block Luke Walker.

Some of the top players want the managerial post resolved as soon as possible for pre-season preperation. With big names at the club like:
Jason Steele in Goal.

A true boy hood boro fan he came through Middlesbrough's youth academy. In May 2009, Steele signed a new three-year contract with Middlesbrough, which was his first professional deal.Steele was sent out on loan to Northampton Town in February 2010, in order to gain first team experience. He was impressive during his stint at Northampton, keeping four clean sheets in thirteen games and then making a breakthrough into the first tema in the 2010 2011 season when Brad Jones was transferred to Liverpool.

Rhys Williams is one of the key players in the back four at the Riverside, he is know also the captain of the club, Due to strong performances since his return from injury he was linked to several Premier League clubs in the lead up to the January 2012 transfer window including Bolton Wanderers, Newcastle United, West Bromwich Albion and Liverpool Despite speculation of a summer move, Williams penned a new four-year contract with the club, keeping him at the Riverside until 2016.Rhys has become a firm fans favourite at the Riverside Stadium under Tony Mowbray, which along with his eye-catching performances has earned him the Captain's armband on 9 August 2012

More news to come along soon regarding the successor of Tony Mowbray.

Meeting with the chairmen
Hey Luke
Chairmen Gibson - Welcome to the boro, I'd like to welcome you to the club and give you a quick briefing of the clubs history and expectations.
Luke Walker - Great i am looking forward to working with you and managing this club.
Chairmen Gibson - The fans are a massive part of this team and they would love for their new manager to have a good knowledge of our history.
Luke Walker - I'd love to, it would be great to have the opportunity to learn the history of this great club.
Chairmen Gibson - Our minimum expectations are to gain top half table finish and your transfer budget is £400k and a wage budget of £240k.
Luke Walker - Great those expectations are great, and the wage budget are suitable, thanks for the advice and i know where you are if i need you.

End of meeting

End of pre-season and there was plenty of action with lots of positives and negatives that can be used for area of improvements.
The first game was against Middlesbrough reserves and we nailed them 4 - 1 with goals from Mcdonald, Miller and two from Ledesma which was a very good result to start then the second game was against scottish team Stranraer another great performance with a easy 3 - 0 win with goals from Curtis Main and two goals from Andy Halliday, the third game was an amazing win against Viareggio with goals from Jonathon Woodgate, Scott McDonald, Merounne Zemmama, rhys williams and Luis Boa Morte with the goals. Also in Italy we played ternana where we lost 3 -2 dissapointingly with our two goals coming from Andy Halliday, the fianl friendly was against the spanish side Real Spal we won 3 - 0 with a first half hatrick from Ishmael Miller.
Ending the pre-season on a high was a very good high for us and this was shown by the man of the pre-season tour being Andy Halliday scoring four goals in two games in the tour of italy.

August to end of october

August to the end of October update.

End of a productive transfer window with bringing in some solid buys and getting rid of some driftwood, but sadly losing our Captain Rhys Williams to a buyout release clause to a premiership club.
The players that got brought in were Luis Boa morte and Ricardo Rocha both of these on a free transfer, then i captured Angelo Henriquez of loan from Manchester United after appeals for work permits, and alan tate on loan from swansea, and steven mouyolouko for £675k from Wolves.
The players that left were Julio arca to Wolves for £600k and sadly Rhys Williams for £6million to Fulham and Luke Williams on loan to Portsmouth.
