Hi there
i have a problem with my team's takling...no matter what team i play, no matter what tactic i use my tackling is almost always disapointing or worth...even agains teams clearly inferior to mine.
am i doing something wrong?
what can i do to improve my team's tackling stats during a game?
i use a fluid, short pass, clossing down, roaming tactic.

use agressive tackling with tight marking and closing down often, works for me although red cards are common

which is not good, rather stick with the poor tackling than play half your games with ten men :D

make sure that your a disicplined manager if youre going to play rough, if players get banned always fine them, then they will improve tackling because they dont want to get fined again for being banned, get what im saying?

good opinion, will try it matey ... ;)

Fine them all! Then use the fines to buy beer.

not necessarily, for example, hard tackling is good if you have agressive players, for example a player with one agression will not be good at it, to me hard tackling is for ugly teams like bolton and stoke, if you watch arsenal they dont play hard tackling, i recommend hard tackling if youre in a relagation scrap

fining not always good.. it could lead to your whole squad claiming unfair treatment, damaging morale. it may lead to some of your stars wanting to leave

Simple - fine any bad defenders wages for poor performance. Set it to agrresive tight marking, and completely mauler them. If they still play bad, fine. If they get sent of, fine.

Majority of players only declare unfair treatment and then afterwards say 'My bad' and apologise.

i tend to fine them if they get sent off with a straight red. however, if its 2 yellow cards, then fining them could lead them into complaining about unfair treatment. i've also set tackling to more cautious to reduce such incidents from happening

im in my game i did the same thing then all of sudden the morale went to okay with some on poor and the player fined on very poor. And players complaining of lack of harmony.
I only now fine players if at full time they have a rating of between 5.0-5.8. And warning if its 6.
