Do Regens dirrectly replace retied players?

As the title says.
Do Regens dirrectly replace retired players

example say if Essien was retiring, would a Regen replace him and be a M(c)/ DM and have a really high PA? the same birthday (apart from year of birth), hight, weight etc? And obveously be Ghanain

Im only asking because i remember for CM2008 this was the case when a player retired you could find them easily because of their height weight and DOB.

No they do not, FM is a bit more complex than Pro Evo 2004

They appear as young players coming through the u.18 ranks at all clubs with academies, they're just new players so you can continue to the game when real players retire, but they don't full out replace single players.

No they just come through your (and other team's) youth academies every year.
