Start with a transfer budget of 33.5mil. Buy GAULD for 0.5mil, PAPADOPOLOUS for 10.5 and WERNER for 4.3mil. How much should I have left? The answer - 18.2mil give or take. Why do I only have 5mil? And why does this keep happening? And no there are no other little fees of any significance.

Agent fees, signing on fees, bonuses... they all add up.

I'm not quite sure about this but I feel that signing fee now is included in transfer fee now.

Also transfer fee based on appearances seems included too

What about agent fees etc in the contracts? I believe they come out of your transfer budget as well but could be wrong.

Checked your budget hasn't changed due to high wages?

A lot more factors like agent fees, signing off fees etc are taken out of the transfer budget I think, much more realistic.

Thanks for the replies guys. But I've taken all that into account. Agent fees ect. I buy PAPADAP for 10mil, his fees aren't going to come to 13mil.

Good idea with budget change but no luck. I have 170,000 remaining in wages. PAPADAP gets around 50,000. which leaves 120,000 for the other 2 kids i signed on small wages.

worked out 7mil of it. 7mil is from excepting squad bonus amounts. Comes out of transfer budgets now. doesn't matter if your Barcelona, cant afford S**t

It's easy to keep track of though, since it tells you how much will be deducted from your transfer budget.

I have reported it as a bug because even step by step, adding every little cent it doesn't add up, every signing theres a further 10% ish gone

How did you manage to get Gauld for 0.5m.

Anytime i try im having to pay at least 3m. What a player by the way! should be one to go all the way to the top in the future.

Honestly, I offered 500k plus another player (can't remember who) just a **** reserve player and they bought it. I loaned him to Bolton.

I've had no issues with it, it takes out what it says it will and any further reductions in it are from things I've been well aware of. You're either doing something wrong or just missing something.

i have the same problem with my Newcastle save i had 5 million remaining budget when i purchased a young player, but then i sold HBA for 24 million straight cash no monthly clauses and for some reason i was left with 8 million to spend so where did the 21 million go?

maybe Mike Ashley pocket it like he would in real life or it's a bug?

chances are mike ashley has pocketed alot of that, you need to check what percent of the transfer fee should go back into your budget, also I've found that quite often it seems to give me more wage budget which I need to adjust instead for some reason.

chances are some of it is agent fees and signing on fees, then you'll have to pay solidarity payments which equals roughly 10% of the money you just got in plus you might have to pay off any outstanding bonuses owed to ben arfa.
