dodgy defences

all throughout my fm gaming career i have had difficulty getting together a solid defence i have managed to get by most of the time because i generally have a good attack but it begins to get frustrating

i play a simple 4-4-2 and my defenders are not bad considering im playing in the scottish first division but i get the feeling its my tactics

any ideas

ps i think ive put this in the right forum but if not feel free to move it

what kind of goals are you conceding? i notice you play conrtol, if they are playing through you that will be why, control gives away space to draw out defensive teams, if used against mor attacking teams its just gives them the midfield

what way would you say is best if control isnt the best against attacking teams?
