I was wondering if anybody had a United based tactic on what LVG seems to be using so far? I think Morgan is in a BWM role, a Shadow Striker in behind the main striker, Mata has a weird role, but I was wondering if anyone has managed to make a decent variant?

I'm going to give it a go. Mata's role is a strange one, would say Memphis is IF, shaw and darmain push high when attacking. Think it will be difficult to replicate though.

There was one over at The Dugout that specifically tried to build the 'Silva' role from a wide area, that might be adaptable to Mata's role..

do you have a link to the dugout piece regarding Silva?

anyone have any idea regarding Rooneys role up front? He stays out of the build up mainly for united and has very few touches, but dont know if this would be effective at all on fm?

At the moment Im testing Rooney with a False 9 (Hold up ball, Run wide with ball) setting, seems to be similiar-ish.

Here's a tactic that should work very well with Man United, or any big team...

Team Instructions:
View attachment 233237

GK as SK support
LB as FB attack
Both CD's on CD defend
RB as FB automatic
DM as HB defend
CM as DLP on support
AMR as Raumdeuter Attack
AMC as Trequartista attack, or Enganche attack
AML as IF on support
ST as F9 support

Player instructions are there, and corner is on the far post.

I use close down for the opposition.
