As the title says basically I'm just curious because realistically teams change there tactic depending on the opposition and it's not something I've done on FM, does anyone do this and is it successful?

I start every match with the same tactic, but during it almost always use the shouts, sometimes slightly change formation, player roles etc. So, basically I never end a match in the same way as I started it.

Eh, it depends. There is no magic tactic, that works every time.. So basically, just look at how your players, and opposition are performing, and try to utilize that info, by tweaking your tactics accordingly. Or you can play the same tactic from start till end.. it really depends more on if it works for you..

switching between a 433 and 4231 tactic, but gameplan is still the same.
Control the match, and keep possession.

Depends on the club you're at. In my Arsenal save which I am doing at the moment, I use largely the same tactic, only occasionally changing to a different tactic depending on the circumstances (Opponent, what result I need, what competition, etc.).

But when I do saves with clubs that aren't as good as Arsenal, I'll have maybe 2 tactics I use alot, but I'll adapt them before every match depending on the oppositions weaknesses.

I change tactic according to opposition. I have three tactics.
1 - Possession based fluid 4-3-3 to control games at home against lower teams and also away
2 - Direct 4-2-3-1 attacking football against biggies at home and sometimes against Tough oppositions away.
3 - Counter-Attacking to grind out results away from home in difficult matches.

I never go more than 2 games using same tactic, though. (Not a rule, something I haven't done yet).
