Well hi guys, I would like to ask does anyone have a good tactic to use for Worksop Town, predicted 8th in the Northern Premier League Premier Division. I would like a passing play but not sure it would work in the non-league though. All suggestions are welcome :)

A passing tactic would obviously be nice, if you can pull it off. Other teams in the North Premier League Premier Division wouldn't be able to outplay you that way; but if it doesn't work, it is likely to go wrong! And it is very likely to go wrong, unless you have used the editor or something to make the team amazing. But I take it you haven't, so I would go for a tactic which requires less skill, experience (for example, the offside trap) and fitness levels.

To be honest, the best tactic for that level would be a simple 'English' 4-4-2, with a flat back four, two centre midfielders, two wingers and two strikers. The goalkeeper, centre backs and wingers on their normal duties/roles. For the other players, I would have the fullbacks on 'Fullback - Defend', one of the midfielders on 'Ball Winning Midfielder - Defend', the other on 'Advanced Playmaker - Support' and the strikers on 'Target Man - Support' and 'Poacher - Attack' respectively.

The trick for that level is to keep it as simple as you can, and don't overcomplicate. Don't try the offside trap, or having a Libero in defence - but a simple, long ball and attacking tactic. Get a good player in every position (goalkeeper, defence, midfield, striker) and involve them, and you should be fine!
