Does anyone know how to make a winger drift into the hole?

I've always prefered to use formations with wingers, and I've recently bought Ozil from Madrid (Im Chelsea). I've been retraining him to play at RW as I've got Coutinho down the left and he has been incredible as an inside forward. But I want Ozil to drift inside and act as a playmaker (like when Iniesta is on the wing for Barca, he always drifts inside and acts as an attacking mid) and I was wondering if anyone has cracked this?

I play a 4-2-4 with a DM/CM in the midfield. And Ozil is currently set as an Advanced playmaker/Support with Move into Channels as his wide play.

Any Ideas?

teach him the following PPM's:

1) Come deep to get the ball
2) Dribble through the centre of the park
3) Look for pass instead of shot
4) Look for the killer ball/pass

you can ask him to cut inside as well but I use moves into channels myself... (if he learns the 2nd PPM he would do pretty much what you want him to do if you ask him to cut inside)

Would an inside forward benefit from the ppm dribble through centre of the park?

Oh Raikan

One of my favourite combo is
PPM: Runs with ball down right flank ( for a AMR), gets inside the area
Wide play: Move into channels
Free role

This way, he provides width with the ball(ppm) and makes runs into channels into the box for a pass( wide play and ppm), he drifts inside to find space ( free role)

On player interaction I can find 'run with the ball down right/left flank, but not get inside the area. And free role ? How do you assign that ?

And if a player can play on both left and right, is it enough to say hug the touchline ?

Thanks in advance.

it should be under the movement option for PPM's, it can be asked to be trained, it does not have to be passed on via tutoring (one of the PPM's that cannot be taught)

um...... it is the 1st two mate, right at the top of the list :) dribble down the left/right flank on a regular basis :)

My question was how to get them running into the box, is your answer correct ? If so thankyou.

well if you ask them to run down the flanks, they are not going to get into the box mate :)

your best bet is get forward whenever possible and arrives late in the box as well as having them cut inside

No absolutely not they won't do both but 'The Better Half' says both flanks and into the box in post 5 and that was why I got a little confused about what instructions to give.

My point was that they dribble down the flanks WITH the ball and gets inside area without it. One move with the ball and one without
