LA Galaxy captain Landon Donovan will not return for a second loan spell with Everton as he plans to use the Major League Soccer off-season to rest.

Huh, shame. He's a good player. Still, I guess he is using the off-season for what it was designed for.

I think this was his last chance to play in Europe. Shame as he is a excellent player.

The lad has been none stop for like two years, don't blame him.

hes another Tim Cahill, So Loyal the to the club he loves, Landon could easily be a premier league regular!

He's none stop this guy is, was class for Everton last year.

I respect his decision though, deserved rest.

Agreed with both, I'd have put him at at least 30. I guess it's because he's one of America's best ever players, he's been on the international scene since he was young.

Yes i know that but realisticly anything after this season would be less likely.

Are you for real? Hes been playing in a low pace league, which means his legs wont have gone yet, he could last until hes at least 35.

Bet he clears 200 caps too!

If he dosen't move in the next 2 windows he will never move.

Unless you know him personally, you cant make statements like that.

You have no idea what he wants, or what he is planning.

Players with ability such as his can last way passed the 30 mark
