Doria vs Balanta

I'm in my tottenham save and I'm torn between either buying Brazilian Doria from Botafogo or Balanta from river!

Any thoughts???

Yeah I know Balanta is cheaper but just wondered if he becomes better than Doria or is it spending that but more!

and I'm not buying both aide I don't need two Centre Backs
 
Balanta has the potential to be the best defender in the game. He is a must buy on any save. Doria is a good solid defender that almost never gets injured but he has lower potential.

Balanta´s determination can vary if its 16+ i would buy him if it lower go for Doria
 
It is more likely that Balanta will have a higher PA than Doria.

Balanta has a -10 PA (170-200) while Doria has a -9 PA (150-180)
 
The formula isn't really difficult, guys.

If you sign Doria and he manages 7.5 and Balanta avg 6.8 over a period of 10 years - Doria will be better.
If you sign Balanta and he manages 7.5 and Doria avg 6.8 over a period of 10 years - Balanta will be better.

There are other factors. Such as training, and loaning out, that change variables. But ultimately, anyone who actually knows the engine, will be able to tell you all these threads about "who is better" is kind of ******* useless and probably the main cause of why so many people have difficult playing the game and the "frustrations" thread is a bunch of people who haven't actually read the manual vs. the occasional person who has a genuine issue. So I don't feel sorry for people like that at all because they find a way to ruin it for everyone else because of their laziness/inability to grasp that unless you understand something you're most likely to continue failing at that thing.

Depends on the size of the club that your buying for. Bought Balanta for 8 Million at Aston Villa but wasn't the greatest buy. Only averaged 6.8 rating and became homesick. In the same save Doria played at Barcelona and was a world beater. If you do buy Balanta then make sure hes playing with fellow South Americans!
 
I would say depends from save to save...because of hidden attributes. Balanta is much better in my save...his ambition level is top class between 15 and 20, while doria is below 10. Dont mention his loyalty, that is almost 20.

This is my way to judge WC level or just good player...unambition player cant be successful. If you take a look in RL, cr7 isnt very talented, but his ambition his ******* immense and look at balotelli huge talent and his attitude...he will never be cr7 level, i can gurantee that. Ronaldinho is even better example. Attitude is everything imo...you can have all available talent from the world, but i you arent ambitious enough to reach that level, nothing will help you.

Balanta can cover DM and LB as well, doria cant....everbody love versatile bros. He is MUCH cheaper. I got him for 10M euros in 1st season...yes i tried to get doria in 2nd season, but they asked too much for him, about 40M euros...no way, that i will pay that much for 19 years old defender. I suggest to buy murillo for better gel with the rest...he is colombian just like balanta. And 1 or 2 south americans if you dont feel secure.

Always depends on the size of my budget who I go for. For example, signed Doria for Liverpool, yet signed Balanta for Southampton. Both do equally as brilliant. I usually favour Doria out of the two because of the fact he's playing in a better team amongst better players so therefore seems to be the better player, however I can only compare the two up to three seasons in as I've carried on saves with Doria, but not gone any further with the southampton save and Balanta.
