Dover Athletic

Hello everyone i am a relatively new member to this forum and am looking to get my story from another site more recognition. My current story is on the Football Manager Story forum and the link directly to the story is listed below. With URL restrictions on this site i will be looking to re post the story on here after this introduction post.

Dover | 2019-20 End Of Aug Update | Are We Ready for the Championship? - Stories - FMS Forum

Hello and welcome to my first ever Football Manager Story. I have played FM for around 4 years now but will be looking to post stories now that i feel more experienced with the franchise.I hope to be able to get to grips with posting fairly quickly and i hope that you all enjoy reading it.

The story that I will be starting with is with my local side Dover Athletic Football Club, in an attempt to transform them into one of England's top sides and one day win the Premier League and maybe even the Champions League!

Last season Dover were promoted from the Vanarama Conference South via the play offs as they beat Ebbsfleet United in the final to return to the Vanarama Conference Premier for the first time in 12 seasons.

Right then let's start! Some details are shown below of the Dover information screen.

Due to the poor facilities and lack of finances this will be a difficult challenge. The first aim is to transform the club from a semi professional club into a full time club. This is a massive thing for any non-league team to allow the team to train full time as well as other benefits.

I am actually already 4 seasons into this story but will get regular updates up over the next few days to let everybody know what has happened in these first few seasons including some screenshots. After it is up to date regular updates every few days should be expected.
I hope everyone enjoys it, any tips or feedback would be appreciated

Dover 2014-15 Consolidation

Hello and welcome to the first post on my Dover save. As I've already mentioned in the previous post I am already 4 seasons into the save so will be updating you on what has happened so far throughout the save.

Board Objectives

Vanarama Conference - Avoid Relegation
FA Trophy - 2nd Round
FA Cup - 1st Round

Transfers

As always with non league management, free transfers and loan deals are the way forward due to the tight financial budget of a non league club. Going out of the club were just those who simply were not good enough at Vanarama Conference level following the clubs promotion last season. Coming in consisted of 2 central defenders, 2 ball winning midfielders and a left midfielder to give the team a better balance.

Fixtures / Results

FA Trophy

Fairly good cup run, surpassing the board's minimum requirement that was set at the start of the season. The focus was more on the FA Cup and league this season.

FA Cup

I was pleased with reaching the 2nd round, however League 1 Oldham would always be a difficult opposition which were just simply a better team.
