Download Help

Hey guys. im having problems downloading.
once i have downloaded a file and saved it in my download file or on desktop.
the file isnt showing up anywhere. i have tried both fire fox and chrome, but still no luck.
im not sure if its my settings on anti virus.

I have looked all over for advice. hope some one on here can help me
