Downloading Files-...Winzip - I dont have it, suggestions?

Ok, im pretty sure Winzip's not on my computer and Il be honest, there's no way in **** im going to be paying for it. Now it seems the files you download for badges, transfer updates etc off this website, need to be zipped or whatever before they can work.

Is there no other possible way around this, without costing myself money?

Suggestions..?

I've got it now and extracted the files, but it doesnt seem to work.
When I load up fm, the new badges or kits arnt there, any ideas?
