Downloading problems with Football manager 2012

I`m having some problems to play the game. When the game was downloaded I tried to play it but it didn't work. My computer is a mac and their was a warning saying that "it failed to find a default database to use. Please make sure your installation is not corrupt". I bought the game in steam and i't can't be corrupt. Could you please help me.
