Downloading problems with Football manager 2012

I'm having some problems to play the game. When the game was downloaded I tried to play it but it didn't work.My computer is a mac and their was a warning saying that it failed to find default database to use.Please make sure you installation is not corrupt. I bought the game in steam and I't can't be corrupt.Could you please help me.
