hiya guys hope iv posted in the right forum here as im just getting used to your site but here goes iv been downloading files like training tactics etc and i usually open these files wif winrar but i tend to find that some files cant be downloaded as i get the msg that it cant open due to not having the right programme to open these files, so is there any other programme i need to download

Maybe some of the things your downloading aren't RAR files, so you just need to put them in folders rather than extract them?
 
but wouldnt i need to download them first to put them into files for example i get that message when i try and download raikans perfect tactic
 
Yes, that is a .tac file, so doesn't need extracting, it will likely be in your 'Downloads' Folder under your user folder on your PC.

What you do then, is copy it from there, and move it to your 'Tactics' folder in your Football Manager 2011 folder under Sports Interactive, if you don't have the Tactics folder, make one.

Now when you load the game up, you go to tactics, manage tactic, import tactic, and then you should have the Tactic folder come up, and it should be in there.
