i like that they support the trade unions and their music is okay, but i still find "irish" americans to be rather annoying.

Their first album is far superior to the rest, Cadence to Arms (Scotland the Brave with guitars), Do Or Die, Get Up, Skinhead On The MBTA, Barroom Hero, Boys On The Docks, Finnegan's Wake... So many great tunes. Seen them three times, was on stage for Skinhead once.

didn't really know who they were until I saw them at Leeds Fest last year, not a bad band!
I'm Shipping Up To Boston is the tune from The Departed! Its one of those songs that people know of but not the name or who its by! Kind of like a lot of Doves and Elbow tracks!

They're vastly overrated. Not a bad band but it grinds my gears somewhere along the line. Flogging Molly are quite similar, I expect you may like them.
