Anyone getting this? £24.99 for a 12 month subscription, download games 3 days early, 20% discount on all DLC for EA Sports games.

If you do get it, you'll be able to get FIFA 12 tomorrow. I think I may invest.. Because I can :D

sounds good but i am going to wait till friday to get it.

only 7 days !!! :D :D

This is a real thing? Sigh.

I can't believe people are letting EA get away with this, it's a rip-off!

Ben, don't get it just for the UT packs, they're a rip-off too. All it will do is make you feel that you have to justify buying the EA Sports Season Ticket by buying packs with MS points/money on PSN.

This should be what you pay the extra £5 for Ultimate Edition for, this is in no way worth £25, even with the 20% discount, which isn't that good of a discount either.

If you buy this then you'll be paying £70 for FIFA 12 plus probably at least £50 of packs if you're considering this, and possibly £100-200 (some people do spend that much on packs, me included I spent about £100 on FIFA 11 incl. the game, but I didn't spend £70 on the actual game, although that's no excuse). Spending £120-270 on FIFA 12 is absurd.

you have to go out and get the game when its released aswell. Its lols IMO

Considering Fifa/NHL/Tiger Woods are probably the only games I really play anymore, apart from FM, I have already bought this.

Although, I can see why other people haven't, but it's all down to personal choice, you get some benefits, but obviously it comes at a price, a rather steep price at that. In the long run, if you do buy alot of packs, you will need to spend 100 quid on them to make this worthwhile really, which is alot, and about 10x as much as I would ever be willing to spend on packs, but who knows. I also imagine there will be DLC out for TW and NHL, and I am tempted to get madden as well, but also £25 doesn't make much of a difference to me, it's basically just a pair of weekends not going to the bookies, so it's no big deal.

25 quid for THAT? **** me sideways, kids have a ridiculous amount of disposable income nowadays...

Bought this last month to try out Madden and NHL, rather pay the fee for the season ticket than pay £80 for two games I might not like.

fifa 12 stinks, its shocking this year... tactical defending is awful. get pro evo if you are a proper football lover.

Yeah, that makes sense. I play Tiger Woods and if you want all the DLCs then it can add up, NHL is also a very good game, so if you're buying it for them 3, then it makes sense. Same goes for Madden and NCAA Football, but as you say if the only reason you're buying it is for FIFA and UT packs, then in my eyes it's not worth it. I would have bought the Season Ticket, but I have FIFA for Xbox, TW for PS3, my brother has NHL for PS3, and that is what I would get it on when/if I get it, and I would get Madden on either, and the problem is that they don't have the same EA account, so while it does make sense buying it for all them games it wouldn't work out for me.

But, I said all that because Ben was talking about FIFA and I presume from his post that all he will use it for is FIFA, which is a waste of money. £25 on its own for using it with 3 or 4 games is good value, but for 1 game and then adding the cost of the game (£45) then add the packs that you'd think he'll buy (otherwise what's the point in getting it if the only reason is to play it early?), then it comes out to be very expensive.

That also makes sense (or at least more sense), but couldn't you find that out from the demos? Or do you mean career, online, etc.?

What, so I can play with goalkeepers that can't catch a cold, players who can all throw the ball 50 yards, Keepers that take about 10 minutes to throw/kick a ball, random lag during games even though I am not playing online?

No thanks, I would rather have a new defending system that might take a while to get used to, than a game that feels its about 5 years old.
