Hi,

Just wondering if anyone know how I could either remove or edit the home grown player rule in Champions League?
At the moment, as everyone has been experiencing, my home grown players that are classified as trained at club/nation from 0-21 are not recognised as home grown in the UEFA Champions League.
So I would like to know if there is a way to edit that rule to include those trained at 0-21? or simply just remove it?
Personally I would like to keep the rule and just include those trained at 0-21 rather than getting rid of the rule as a whole since I want to keep the game as real as possible.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi, this should go under the 'Editing help thread.' A lot of people have asked about this (usually for the Premiership though) but I think it can be done for the Champions League as well. The first place to look would be here: http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/f74/how-to-edit-a-teams-starting-points-t41429.html this is about editing the .xml file to get rid of it, you might be able to do it that way (th example is for the Premiership but the concept is the same I think). What I would recommend though is going to community.sigames.com and going to the Editor's Hideaway forum (you have to register). If you go to the Advanced Editor thread you can download an advanced editor that can edit a lot of competitions, including the Champions League. Basically part of it is downloading a bunch of .xml files, load up the one for Champions League, and save the editor data as another .xml file. Try loading up the this .xml file (the one you just saved) and following the instruction in the first link I gave you.

Mess around with it a bit, you'll figure it out. Don't ask any simple questions on the Advanced Editor thread in the Editor's Hideaway forum because most of them have already been answered in the thread so no one will answer you if you ask them (they just get annoyed I think). I think it can be done, just read both of those threads a lot and download the advanced editing stuff, you should be able to figure it out. Hope this helps.
