I've played through a few seasons in my various saves now and keep having problems with the top teams (R. Madrid in particular) 4-5-1 tactic they usually use. Basically 2 defenders, 2 wingers, 2 mid-fielders, 3 AM (L, C & R) and a striker.
I've tried to come up with a tactic to counter this one efficiently, tried playing deep, slow and trying to hold on to the ball (using a 4-1-2-1-2 tactic which i managed to beat A.C Milan with). This works fine at first until they start ripping through my team with bad-*** tackles and well.. some really superior passing play. Basically most times I've ended up facing them with lower overall speed, height and passing.
