el_magico's comeback! Simeone's counter attacking 442 recreated in FM 15.3

Hey guys,
some of you might know me from FM 11, 12 and 13.
There I created a very famous tactic known as el_magico's4231.
This time, I created a 4411, where the attacking midfielder acts as a shadow striker.
I rechanged the tactic from MR U ROSLER on the FM forum Apex Predator V2 - Tuned for 15.3
Since I had a lot of talented AMCs, I decided to adapt it to my team and I had a lot of success, even though we changed the tactic during the season.

For position requirements, I recommend the thread of MR U ROSLER, since he has done a very good work.
I just wanna add on to the position of the Shadow Striker.
He must be some kind of a player like Antoine Griezman from Atletico Madrid.
He must have very good technical abilities and also he needs to be a good goal scorer, since he scores almost as much as your striker.

I don't use OI and also let my ***. Manager do the team talks and trainings.
It's important to get one with good attributes in Determination, Man Management, Motivation and Discipline.

It is almost his work, I just adapted it to my team and tweaked a few things.

I would be very happy, if you guys could make some tests and post the result.

I justed wanted to start a new save with Bayern - this tactic seems to be perfect for them. Will keep you updated - first results are coming soon :)

hehe thx mate, unfortunately since Ive started to study, I don't have that much time anymore :(
the only way I could do something is to really look for a solid tactic, which someone else has created and try to implement and tweak it the way, I want to play.
For anything else I don't have that much time anymore...
therefore I need you guys to test the tactic and to give feedbacks :D
thinking about starting a save with palermo, as I really liked paulo dybala as shadow striker :D
 
Its just interesting, what result You do in first season? On screenshot only teable for 2018 year.

Some results from my new palermo save so far.
After a very difficult start with a lot of injured players and also having no quality striker and wingers, we went much better after a while and finished the first half at sixth.
In order to secure this place, I brought in Oviedo und Mario Suarez as a backup and hoped that Babacar could solve my striker problem, but unfortunately he is also very inconsistent, but thx god I have Dybala :D
Btw. we were expected to finish 16th ;)
Palermo is a real challenge :D

Looks love 4411 will try this with my new celtic save:) do u guys plug and play?? And do u change D-line etc... Will try this tonight will it work in FM classic mode ? Thanks
 
Hey mate, its just plug and play, sometimes, I do change the set piece setting in the last minutes in order not to get caught on a counter attack.
I don't know whether it will work on classic, as I've never tried it :D

Btw. season came to an end, the results are very amazing.
We were expected to finish 16th and even though i lacked quality strikers and wingers, especially not in possession of quick center backs, we achieved an amazing result.
So pitty, that I lost the cup final, but it really sucks, when you lead and then concede 3 goals from set pieces...

any chance that u can make some player filters for this tactic?? so we now what kind of players we need for each positions =)
 
hey mate, as Ive written in the opening post, there is a link to the si forum, there you can look for the player filters.
all I can mention is, having CMs who are defensively strong and brave, quick defenders also full backs who are better defensively than offensively and good fast wingers, who are creative.

I am currently working on a small tweak, which I use in away matches, where I play against very superior teams like Real Madrid, Juventus, ManU and so on...
I made two changes: Take a breather and Clear to flanks and so far its amazing.
I had ManU as my opponent in champions league play offs.
I played with my original tactic in the home leg and beat them 4-1 and used these tweaks for the away game and won 3-2, conceding the two goals in the last minutes, when my players were completely exhausted.
In Chapions League group I managed a 2-2 against PSG and 1-1 away against City.
I am still testing this tweaks in the away games.
If it is consistent, then the tactic would be really world class, since the only weakness is really playing away against the very superior teams.

hey celtic boy how are you getting on using this with celtic.I am looking for a tactic to use for celtic as well
 
I have tweaked the tactic again, changed the set piece settings and also made some tweaks regarding my centre backs in order to close the gap between the defensive line and midfield.
even though we had very amazing defensive results in the first season, with the new tweaks it has even reached new levels.

btw. got job offers from inter, manU, bayern, as roma and atletico madrid just after 1.5 season :D
