Eligibility Problems BBVA

I've just started my third season with R.Sociedad and I decided to invest heavily in youth players and I signed 8 hot prospects that I think could take my club to the next level. 2 of these were normal players and the rest were Regens. However one of my Regens that I signed from Valencia is ineligible to play in the BBVA or even my under19's squad and i dont know why... can anyone help me with this problem.

I think he must of failed his work permit, offer him a new contract and it will sometimes give them one.
 
How many teams has he played for this season? Players who have been registered for two different teams can't be registered again for the rest of the season.
 
Valencia and Valencia Mestalla count as 2 different teams so you will have to wail till next season to play him.

I have looked into the FM 10 and the rules are: Player must be 18 or younger on 1.1.2013.

And since he will be 19 on 2.11.2012, he won't be ineligible to play in the u19 squad.

That still doesn't explain why he can't play first team matches.

Since its 8 sept already and the pre-season transfer/register window is till 31 aug. I assume he didn't register that player in the main squad list.

And the rules for the main squad is that you don't have to register a player of age of 18 or younger. But as I mentioned before, he doesn't qualify for that.

I think thatll be it, also under 19s dont need to be registered. I wasnt sure whether the Mestalla counted as a seperate team or not, oh well I think I can cope without him, might loan him out to my german feeder club.
