MOYES 'U' TURN
David Moyes has today had an extremely dramatic change of heart as he resigned as Manchester United manager just a few days into the job.

Manchester United manager David Moyes has today sensationally announced his resignation from the job just 3 days into it after he joined from Everton. Not much information has been leaked from the club yet and all we know is that it is 'Personal Reasons' why Moyes has left. He did arrange the transfer of Marouane Fellaini just before leaving and that has gone through, it is yet to be seen who will be appointed as the new manager.

Emmerson new United boss
Unknown thrust into spotlight

Manchester United have today shocked the footballing world by appointing relative unknown Oliver Emmerson as their new manager, and his only football connection is with Liverpool!

Emmerson is the cousin of former Liverpool player Steve Finnan, and has coached at a few amateur teams but has no managerial experience at the top level. It is yet to be seen what the fans think of this decision however he may of gained himself some supporters by recruiting Dario Gradi as the new head of youth development, the 72 year old has built up a great repuatation at Crewe for developing players like Nick Powell, now at Man United, Danny Murphy, Robbie Savage, David Platt and Neil Lennon amongst others.

There will be huge pressure on Emmerson to win something at United this year, although our understanding is that the fans do expect a period of transition.

Pre Season

Man Utd 3-3 Athletico Madrid
(Kagawa x2, Evans)

Valladolid 0-2 Man Utd
(Hernandez, OG)

Villarreal 1-0 Man Utd

Busan 0-1 Man Utd
(Ferdinand)

Sparta Prague 2-1 Man Utd
(Welbeck)

Gyeongnam 1-0 Man Utd

Manchester United 5-2 Wigan*
(Welbeck x2, Hernandez x2, Kagawa)

*The Wigan game was actually the community shield final however I knew a win was always secure and I classed it in my mind as a friendly.*

I'm not too fussed with pre season, it never gives a clear indication of what is to come however I was pleased to beat Wigan so convincingly with my 2nd team, and to score 3 against Athletico Madrid.

Player of pre season- Shinji Kagawa (5 games; 3 goals; 2 assists)
The young Japanese boy has forced himself into my starting 11 plans.

Very pleased with my transfers to be honest, I felt all the wingers at the club weren't up to standard and decided to keep only Nani as a flair player, he'll probably be sold within the next 12 months though.

Alexis Sanchez was an obvious buy, wanted real quality on the flanks and he's a great winger who can chip in with goals.

I won the race against other clubs to buy Koke as I activated his release clause, the creative midfielder United were screaming out for.

I dipped my pond into Real Madrid's squad twice for defenders, Evra is ageing and Fabio isn't up to standard so Coentrao was a cheap alternative, and Varane is the long term replacement in the core of the defence so it was an easy decision to spend that amount of money on him.

I feel that Tom Ince is a good player that I can develop alot, but felt that with Zaha/Sanchez/Januzaj/Kagawa/Nani available on the wings his opportunities would be limited so sent him out on loan to Swansea for some valuable experience.

Multiple scoregasm

1 win 1 loss for the Reds in August.

Fulham 4-3 Man Utd
(Evans, Rooney, Fellaini)

A shame to lose my first league game but Fulham had a good team out and we had a few injuries, it was a positive to score 3 goals aswell.

Man Utd 4-0 Aston Villa
(Sanchez x2, Rooney, Van Persie)

My first league win and to do it with a brilliant performance made it even better! Alexis Sanchez tore Villa a new one an my two lethal strikers got one each to make it a memorable night at OT.

Player of the month- Sanchez
Alexis Sanchez had a great month, albeit only being two games long. 2 goals and an assist earn him my player of the month award.

Good start! Interesting to see how you develop the squad!

Cheers! Really looking forward to seeing if I can develop the likes of Zaha, Koke and Jones etc into world beaters.

Strong September for Emmerson

Liverpool 1-0 Man Utd

Man Utd 2-1 Newcastle Utd
(Varane, Fellaini)

Ajax 0-1 Man Utd (UCL)
(Rooney)

Tottenham 1-2 Man Utd
(Fellaini, Coentrao)

Liverpool 3-1 Man Utd (COC)
(Rooney)

Man Utd 6-0 West Ham
(Sanchez x3, RVP, Rooney, Reid OG)

Great month! Two losses to Liverpool but 9 points from 12 in the league, Coentrao with a last minute winner away to spurs and a drubbing of West Ham. I've got United playing attractive football again! The champions league draw gave me a group of death containing 4 great teams...

Manchester United
Ajax
AC Milan
Celtic

PLAYER OF THE MONTH: Marouane Fellaini- Made the DM role his own, and scored 2 vital goals. Left Carrick on the bench.

Marouane Fellaini- September POTM

Decided I don't really have enough experience of writing on the forum's to write a really good monthly story, so from now on it will be half season updates!

A good start in my opinion, admittedly the title looks out of reach now however that's mainly down to Spurs' blistering start. I can see Stoke slipping which should allow me a 4th placed finish (minimum). After topping a tough champions league group, being drawn against Juventus wasn't what I wanted at all!

3 STAR PERFORMERS

1) Alexis Sanchez- The 20M man from Barca has proved worth the money with 9 goals and 6 assists in 19 appearances (all comps) He's adapted to English football really well and is one of my main men attacking.

2) Marouane Fellaini- I must thank Moyes for this buy as 27M is looking a bargain, initially was on the subs bench but took Carrick's place and with 8 goals and 2 assists in 19 games is a box to box goalscoring genius. Not just headers, he's whacked in a few scorchers!

3) Danny Welbeck- I prefer him to Hernandez so with Rooney and Van Persie both picking up injuries there was a place for the youngster, and he has showed his talent with a remarkable 10 goals in 14 games.
