Ended on wrong position

Hello all, I just finished my 1st season with Udinese in Italian league.
During the last game of the season I jumped to 3rd place because I was winning. But when the match was played and I won, suddenly I see my team on 4th spot, missing the Champions league!!! The number 3 has the same amount of points. BUT!: We scored 11 goals more. So we should be on 3rd spot right? Why are we on the wrong position?


Also: I remember one time in Uraine league, we were 4pts ahead of another team. We had the same amount of games played; we played 1 match and they did too. Suddenly I see them with the same amount of points as we had. did they won 4points by winning a match or what?? =S

Is this a bug?

In some leagues, the results between two teams matter more than goals scored. Maybe this is the case for the italian league.
So if the 3rd placed team had the better results against you head-to-head, they could get sorted above you.

If you view the league table, there's a section/tab called "RULES" where it will explain how the sorting for that league works.
