Can anyone tell me what the actual age limit is for the U18 teams in the English Professional Development leagues?
I've got to the end of the 1st season (it's July 2018) and a number of my U18 players were moved automatically due to being too old, this is entirely normal and expected. However, in preseason quite a lot of my existing squad are marked as ineligible for the next game - these players are already 18, or due to turn 18 before 1/9/18 which I'm guessing is the cut off date.
If that's the case, shouldn't these players have been moved squad automatically? Weirdly my Assistant Manager is also suggesting that they should be moved, but made available for the U18s so I figure he's got no idea either.
It's all a little bit annoying as I'd already got the squads pretty much finalised before finding out and now I need to trim my U23 team and get in some more U18s...
