Walter Smith Retires From Football!
Rangers legend Walter Smith has today decided to call it a day as the manager of the club, despite the recent takeover of the club by middle eastern investors. Alistair Johnston has stepped down as chairman as the new owner has decided to become the club's chairman. Johnston is now a director working along side many foreign directors in a bid to bring Rangers Football Club back to the top. A statement is expected to be released from the club within the next few days with regard to their new manager.
New Rangers Chairman Makes Risk!
New Rangers chairman Mohammad Kallifah has today appointed unknown manager Jamie McLachlan as the clubs new boss. Mr Kallifah has stated he believes McLachlan to be the correct man to take the club forward after prolonged discussions on where he felt he could take the club. Jamie McLachlan stated that he felt he could achieve a lot with the club and that being a Rangers man at heart would help with this. Mohammad Kallifah has already expressed his support for the young manager and has handed him a warchest of what is believed to be around £25 million to revitalise the squad. McLachlan will be expected to carry on the Rangers tradition and also make it 2 league titles in a row at the end of the season.
