Error: Football Manager 2012 is already running

Hello all,

Ive searched after a topic like mine, but couldnt find one with a solution, so here goes.

I keep getting this message all of a sudden, when I try to start FM up. Error: Football Manager 2012 is already running. Played the game without any problems since it was released, and now this..

I've tried to close steam, but it says i have to close the game first, but i'm not even in it !?

Help help help...
 
Close to 50 views and no help huh..?
No links to something that might help or something..?
 
If you're on Windows, press Ctrl-Alt-Delete, and go to the second tab. ('Processes')

Find fm.exe and click "End Process". Click Yes when the box pops up.

Wait a minute then open Football Manager. You might need to wait a minute.

I've done that. I have also reinstalled the game, I have even googled the problem... Nothing
 
I can't open any games now... what the ****. I updated everything even..
 
I've had this problem a few times but only when I've managed to double click on the shortcut icon too many times, but it's never stopped me from playing. Have you tried getting in contact with SI ?
