ERROR: Login failed due to incorrect account details being provied.

Hey

I was just playing Football Manager 11 and decided to link my twitter to my save, and when I put my details in it just comes up with the error "Login failed due to incorrect account details".

Any ideas on this??

I have not had any issues with it in the past and my Youtube account logs in perfectly fine. I've tryed changing my twitter password on the site and tryed it again but still no luck.

Interesting, because a mate of mine is also having that problem. Only started a couple of days back also! He updated to 11.1.0 and since then, it's not worked.

EDIT: Just had a chat with him and he said it started working again tonight. He said he didn't do anything. He got to the end of his last season, players went on holiday and it worked again.

Could it be that you need to do it at the beginning of a season, during the summer break? :/

Yeah but in my other games, it's worked just connecting up to youtube and twitter accounts half way through the game. Very strange indeed. From now on I will just connect it up before game to save any hassle whilst playing a game lol. Very strange indeed though...

I have a feeling it's to do with how shocking the twitter servers are. They're always timing out or twitter is over capacity etc.
 
I linked up my Twitter account mid-game no problem. But it did take ages for it to actually submit due to their useless servers.

Just keep trying, if the details are correct it should work eventually.

I get this problem anyway. I have just reinstalled FM11 as I formatted my PC. Twitter managed to login.. but now Youtube wont! I don't get this.. Is it me? is it a bug? It's really irritating as I'm scoring some great goals on the game and can't upload them to youtube! :@ HELP!!!

Try logging out of Twitter, and then log into YouTube. I only ever log into one at the same time.

Thanks for the idea but....

No luck! :(

I even tryed logging in before I started a new game, and it said the same thing.. I logged out of twitter and tryed youtube, no luck. I reset my password for Youtube.. no luck.

I even unlinked my Youtube & Gmail accounts and then tryed it, but still NO LUCK.

It's really irritating, anyone managed to fix this really annoying bug!?

Just linked up my twitter account mid-season no problem, so I've no idea what the problem is. Sounds stupid but just really make sure your password etc is correct.

I can assure you that my password is absolutely correct. It was happening the other day. Where my Twitter didn't work and Youtube account did so there is nothing wrong there. Now it is the other way around. It's really weird.

UPDATE: I think the only way to get around this is to just keep trying every couple of weeks or every month and hope for the best.
