error report!!! fm09

after over coming this error report issue and starting a new game.. the game works good but i today downloaded patches and utilities but in order for these to take effect i need to click on preferences.. but wen i click on preferences it wont go into it... Send error report comes up and the whole football manager 09 shuts down.. it is only when i click preferences this happens... please any help???????????

never seen this before but try going into preferances on the main menu if you havent tried it that way
long shot but try running as administrator

yes i tried it in main screen also... really need my downloads,,, not sure what you mean by run as admin.. could you explain...sorry dude... thanks for your time

prob not work but instead of double clicking fm to load, right click it then click run as admin
