ever had players you buy but never use?

On my latest save with United, I bought in Mellis and Randall on free transfers, solely to loan them out and sell them on.

Other than that all the players I buy on FM are either to improve the squad immeidiately or in the future.

Played him 3 times, and subbed him 4 times, scored 1 goal; averaging 6.18. Up until the end of September, then never played him after that. Tried offloading him after the season finished for £5.5m but no one was interested :P
