Everton Sack Moyes

Everton boss David Moyes has been sacked as the Toffees fight for a Europa League spot.

Moyes future was plunged into fresh doubt this morning when he failed to turn up for training. And the Toffees have now confirmed Moyes has been booted out after 7 years in charge.

A statement from chairman Bill Kenwright read: 'Everton FC confirms that David Moyes has been relieved of his managerial duties at the club with immediate effect.'

'We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to David for the major success achieved during a period of Seven seasons in charge at the club and wish him every success for the future.

Ryan Trasler, who left newly promoted Leeds earlier this season, is an early frontrunner to replace him.

Bill Kenwright added that they expect to name a new manager by Wednesday.

Everton Appoint Trasler

Everton have appointed former Leeds United boss Ryan Trasler as their new manager at Goodison Park.

Trasler has agreed a one-year deal to succeed David Moyes at the Merseyside club.

"I am happy to have joined Everton following much speculation regarding the appointment of a new manager. I have discussed my aspirations with the Chairman and believe that we are aligned in our aims for what can realistically be achieved here," he told the club's official website.

Ryan Trasler first ever game as a premier league manager ended in a victory for the 29 year old.

Leon Osman proved to be the key man as his 2 goals sunk Sam Allardyce's Blackburn side.

Everton come out victorious over Micks Wolves

Two of Evertons youth products got the goals that seen off Wolves this afternoon

Anichebe got the opener inside 28 seconds and Rodwell sealed the win with a fantastic 25 yard strike in the 85 minute.

And Deep into added on time in the second half Wolve's Stephen Ward receieved his second yellow card and was sent off

Everton cruised into the 3rd round of the league cup after a convincing 4-1 win over poor Southampton.

Tim Cahill was very impressive scoring his first Everton Hat-rick under the new boss

Aston Villa came out 5-4 winners in this thrilling encounter at Goodison Park.

Everton went into the break 3-0 up and cruising to there 3rd win of the season.

But a recharged Villa came out in the second half all guns blazing scoring 3 goals within 10 minutes of the restart.

Then Aston Villa took the lead in the 68th minute when Agbonglahor cooly finished inside the box.

Everton Replied to make it 4-4 but only for Villa to ****** all 3 points in the 89th minute.
