Everton Move Swiftly To Appoint New Manager

James McGuirk has been appointed new manager after David Moyes stepped down after declaring he couldn't take the club any further David Moyes said " I had 8 great years there but I feel it was the right time to move on I felt I couldn't take the club any further".

McGuirk who up until last year was unemployed is a massive Dundalk Fc fan. He has just completed his FAI coaching badges " I was scouring Ireland looking for a coaching role when I was told by a mate that Everton were looking for a young coach, I applied and the rest is history as they say"

When asked about his lack of experience he said " look you gotta start of somewhere and I'm fortunate enough to start of at this club .... My plan is to take this club to the next level I've been given a decent budget to do so."

I am really pleased with how pre-season went. I got a look at the full squad and they impressed me. We are a bit light in the striking department but we still have to welcome back Yakubu. I am also impressed with how the younger players are getting on. 22 goals scored and only 3 goals conceded isin't bad either
